The Competition Gets Ugly on 'The Swan' Finale

The nine finalists have been nipped, tucked and transformed, and now "The Swan" hopefuls are anxiously prepping for what FOX is calling the most unique beauty pageant ever seen on TV -- the emotionally-charged finale of "The Swan."

During the grueling three-month makeovers, they were a sisterhood bonded by low self-esteem, but now with the big night drawing close, contestants like Merline say, "It's getting to be tense. We spent hours and hours in choreography, working out and fittings."

But others, like Belinda and Christina, claim they're still one big support group: "Everybody here has already won and this is just like icing on the cake."

Plastic surgeons Terry Dubrow and Randall Hayworth tell us that problems could emerge for some of their patients tonight. "They're all judged not just through the physical transformation but through the internal transformation as well," Hayworth notes.

And Dubrow tells us, "The pageant could bring out some of their old insecurities."

"Swan" wannabes Serena and Kelly are working hard on their new bodies and their new diets. "All of us have been in the gym twice a day, six days a week," Serena reveals.

But will the contestants have the self-confidence to strut the stage in sexy swimsuits? Insists hopeful Beth, "I have this love for myself, and I want to share it with everybody else."

See who gets crowned and who gets crushed, Monday night on "The Swan."
