Beauty Bargains
She's the curvaceous cover girl and hot host of the Miss Universe Pageant, and now Daisy Fuentes' own beauty secrets are out of the bag. "This is my favorite, favorite product -- DuWop Revolotion," she showed us. "It makes your skin look yummy."
Daisy uses the bronzing cream and St. Tropez self tanner to get that sun-kissed look without going in the sun. "You asked me for my favorite beauty secret weapon? I've said it before -- get a brilliant dermatologist." Fuentes insisted.
Celebrity dermatologist Karyn Grossman has stopped Daisy's sun damage with TX prescription Retinol cream. "It's really good for fine lines under eyes," Fuentes told us.
But what about those sun-kissed cheeks? Daisy uses Nars blush, which is not a heavy makeup. "It's like a blush, real creamy," she revealed. But most important is using a moisturizer like SPF 30 by Prescriptives.
So how can you duplicate Daisy's look for less? We took Dr. Grossman to a Rite Aid drugstore, where she picked a Neutrogena bronzer and self-tanner to duplicate Daisy's golden glow. They also make a great SPF-tinted moisturizer to keep away sun damage.
"It actually contains both UVA and UVB protection, which is really important," Grossman told us.
For those wrinkles around the eye, Dr. Grossman likes products with Retinol made by Roc brand that have all of the important Retinol in them. And finally, for sweet cheeks, Grossman recommends, "This is good Revlon Skin Lights Pink."
Cost savings? Daisy's prescription wrinkle cream, DuWops Revolotion bronzer, Prescriptives SPF daily moisturizer and Nars blush cost about $146. The drugstore's Roc Retinol cream, Neutrogena bronzer and moisturizer and Revlon's skin lights color cost around $48.
But even better than any kind of product to get you gorgeous, Grossman said to take this beauty's advice: "The best beauty accessory is a smile and a good attitude." And that won't cost you a penny!
