Denise Simpson Strikes At Marcia Clarke
It's been 10 years since her sister, Nicole Brown Simpson, was murdered in what's been called "the crime of the 20th century," but it's only now that Denise Brown, Nicole's sister, is finally baring dark secrets that she's kept for a decade. "It's just the time," Brown said. "I feel like I need to get this out."
Ironically, Denise has never appeared to hold anything back in her relentless pursuit of OJ Simpson and justice since the killing of Nicole and Ron Goldman on June 12, 1994. "I still believe he murdered Nicole and Ron. I will always believe that in my heart," she told us. "What an insensitive human being."
But surprisingly, it wasn't OJ that Denise had in her sights when she sat down with "Extra," as she took aim at OJ's lead prosecutor, Marcia Clark, who Denise claimed, "Botched it up so badly."
Denise wasn't pulling any punches as she accused the now-famous attorney of virtually letting OJ get away with murder. "I think she was more in it for herself," Denise insisted. "She ended up writing a book, $4.2 million, she ended up getting her hair cut, she hiked up her skirts even shorter, got new clothes, I mean, I think it was just a big show."
So had there been a different prosecutor, does Denise believe there would have been a different outcome? "I just know what I felt," she told us. "And what I felt was she just did a horrible injustice to my sister and to Ron."
But Denise told us that her main concerns these days are Nicole's kids, Sydney, 18, and Justin, 15, who live with OJ in Florida, and visit Nicole's family twice a year. And Denise said she's determined to keep the memory of their mother alive in their minds. "They're both doing really well," Denise revealed. "I don't ever want them to forget."
And the kids will be there when Denise once again holds a candlelight vigil in memory of her sister on June 12th, just as she has each year for the past nine years.
Marcia Clarke did not return "Extra's" calls for comment. In the meantime, we've learned that Sydney is getting ready for college and Justin is following in his father's footsteps, playing football.
