The Bride Wore
More Than White
It's the spring wedding you've always
wanted -- with a twist. Modern Bride magazine invited
"Extra" to take an exclusive peek at their
flowering bridal fashion photo shoot by noted photographer
Dietmer Busse. "The inspiration is just beauty,"
Dieter told us.
And it turns out that, along with
beauty, color is king, according to Antonia Van Der
Meer, Modern Bride's Editor-in-Chief. She told us that
wearing a little color on your big day is the new trend.
"White is usually traditional, but color was so important
on the runway this season," said Antonia. "Designers
are telling me that the brides are out there buying
it and wearing it."
And no matter what your personal style, there are plenty
of ways to get colorful as you head down the aisle.
Says Antonia, "It exists in ways that can be very subtle,
tiny little hand-painting, a little bit of embroidery."
But it can also be explosive with lots of bight colors
and big flowers, like the gowns from designer Michelle
Roth, who cautioned that her fashions may not be for
everybody, "It's really not for the meek, some of these
looks."
Nevertheless, the dresses come in all price points,
so at least there's no need for your purse to be scared.
