Courtney Love Cracks
Stressed-out grunge rocker Courtney Love was
in New York, Thursday, facing charges for allegedly hurling
a microphone stand into a fan's skull at a concert. But before
she went before the judge, Love gave us a rambling statement
in which she tearfully claimed associates have conspired to
steal millions from her and that her funds have disappeared.
"I feel really stupid," Love revealed. "And
I'm really sorry to anybody that got hurt. My daughter's trust
fund had $12 million stolen from it."
She went on to allege that former associates had a "bogus power
of attorney" over her finances and stripped her of two thirds
of her income. Love claims they created "accounts everywhere"
to hide the embezzled funds.
The soon-to-be 40-year-old rocker said she's "humiliated" because
she didn't control her own money and admitted, "it's my own
fault." The distressed rocker then began to apologize to a number
of people she says she's hurt, including Frances Bean, the daughter
she had with Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain. A heartbroken Love
acknowledges that she needs to "take responsibility" for her
actions and says she's devastated over the situation she's created
for herself and Frances.
"My daughter said to me the other day that she wanted to get
rid of her horse because she didn't want it anymore," Love
told us. "But I know it's because she knows we can't afford
it."
Love also made a mysterious reference to Oscar-winner Russell
Crowe, saying, "I'm sorry to Russell Crowe for you leaving me
all those messages for the Golden Globes. I never got them,
dude. It would have been a fun date."
Love insisted that she can corroborate all of her latest claims
and she's asking the feds for help. "I want to thank the FBI
in advance because I know they're going to help."
For now, the rocker remains defiant about the charges against
her, but is remorseful for her actions. "Adultery is bad and
maybe this is God's way of punishing me," she said. "I hope
they send me to jail for 50 years." |
