They Only Come Out At Night
It was the Hollywood premiere of one of the summer's most-anticipated movies. And on the red carpet, under a full moon, "Van Helsing" stars Kate Beckinsale and Hugh Jackman gave us the goods on the film.
The action-horror movie is expected to be such
a huge hit that they've already made action figures of Jackman
and Beckinsale. But Hugh admitted there could be one little
problem: "Her action figure has a bigger package than my
action figure, and there's something wrong about that."
Despite that, Jackman revealed that he's already signed up for
a sequel. And how about those rumors that Jackman is going to
be the new James Bond? Jackman responded, "I rang my agent
and said, 'So there any truth to this?’ He said, 'I haven't
actually been asked, officially approached.’ So we'll just have
to wait and see. It's a cool rumor."
Kate Beckinsale looked radiant in white at the premiere, and
made her own news, telling "Extra" that she and director
Len Wiseman hope to marry soon. "We're really aiming to
do it this year. So we've sort of put our toes in the water.
It's kind of a big deal planning a wedding."
John Ritter's widow, Amy Yasbeck, even made a rare public appearance at the premiere and spoke to "Extra" about how she's doing. "Yeah, I'm doing ok," she told us. "It's about the third time I've been out of the house, but I thought I'd come see a movie."
Yasbeck said Ritter loved horror movies, and would have been first in line to see "Van Helsing," which hits theatres Friday.
