Getting Personal With Pitt
From gracing the pages naked in "Vanity Fair" to dancing on Monday’s "Oprah," superstar Brad Pitt is letting his hair down. And when we sat down for an exclusive "Extra" interview, he candidly talked love, celebrity life and his new role.
Brad revealed that the training for his new movie, "Troy," was in fact so grueling that he quit smoking. "I had to," he admitted. "And it was a good excuse to stop smoking -- although, I started again. But it’s okay, I see the light now."
Brad had to get in shape to play the role of "Achilles,"
in part because he sported a skirt throughout the film. "It’s
a skirt you’d find on any cheerleader or any dominatrix,"
Pitt joked. So what did this hot commodity wear underneath?
"We sported marble bags."
Pitt loves talking about "Troy," but as we found out, if you really want to get him to light up, just say two words: "Jennifer Aniston."
"Just when you think you couldn't be in love anymore -- you scale another plateau," Brad said of his "Friends" sweetheart.
But Brad revealed that he won't be able to watch the "Friends" finale because he'll be shooting "Ocean's 12" in Amsterdam. As soon as the show wraps, Jen plans to hop on a plane to see Pitt -- with a copy of the "Friends" finale in hand.
And now that Aniston will have some free time, are the two getting ready for kids? "We’re close to it," Brad revealed. But don’t get too excited there’s no nursery ready: "We haven’t gone that far yet."
Pitt took the role of "Achilles" after a two-year hiatus, of which he said, "I'm a big believer in hitting hard and taking some time off."
And Brad is certainly not addicted to seeing his name in bright lights; he told us that being a good person and family man comes first an attitude that came shining through in this very personal interview.
