GLAAD Awards

Christina Aguilera had fans doing a double take Saturday night as the newly brunette beauty joined other big stars to celebrate gays in film and TV. With such successful shows like "Will & Grace" and "Six Feet Under," the gay and lesbian community has a lot to celebrate.

Eric McCormack, was honored for "Will & Grace," says don't let the success of the show fool you; gays still have a long way to go in Hollywood. He says, "It will never be easy, for the next little while, to make gays run of the mill."

And whether the stars are coming out on or off screen, "Six Feet Under's" Matthew St. Patrick told "Extra" it's about time. He says, "Love is love. It's a beautiful thing and I think we should embrace it, not run from it."

And the audience embraced the no longer blonde Christina Aguilera who sang an a capella version of her hit song "Beautiful." She says, "It's a universal anthem for anyone who has ever been discriminated against or unaccepted by a certain group of people."

Something this group of stars is actively trying to fight against.
