Jennifer Garner

Their split shocked Hollywood. Now, see what came between Jennifer Garner and Scott Foley in “Extra’s” Showbiz Insider.

Long hours and lopsided careers may be the truth behind the shocking split between Hollywood's golden gal Jennifer Garner and handsome hubby Scott Foley.

In “Us Weekly's” upcoming cover story, Michael Lewittes says the couple’s marriage took a backseat to the grueling demands of Jennifer's 16 hour days on the “Alias” set and a brutal 6 day a week workout schedule.

Lewittes says, "The first red flag signaling trouble in their marriage was at the Academy Awards," when Jennifer came to the ceremony without her husband. Scott was solo two nights later at an L.A. charity event. Plus, back in February Jennifer regretfully told “Extra” while rehearsing for “Saturday Night Live” that Valentine's Day would have to wait. She said, “I am going to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Sunday this year when my husband and I have our first day off in a long time."

“Us” says there’s one other big issue: Foley isn't the kind of guy who wants to be known as Mr. Jennifer Garner. Lewittes says, “Initially, Scott Foley was the bit star, and she was just this struggling actress. And then things changed "

Even though Foley has his own sitcom "A.U.S.A." on NBC, Garner's star keeps rising. This month, Jennifer starts filming a new comedy, and there's talk of a “Daredevil” sequel.

Michael Lewittes says, "Chances of a reconciliation are very slim."

Seems as though stolen moments on the weekends just weren't enough for this Hollywood couple.
