Russell Crowe's Wedding
It was a celebration fit for
royalty - and it cost a king's ransom! Weve got all
the details on Russell Crowes wedding in our Couples
News!
Decked out in Armani's finest, the Oscar-winning
actor and his new bride Danielle Spencer posed for their very
first photos after becoming man and wife Monday in Australia.
The groomsmen arrived at the sunset ceremony by motorcycle.
The fifty thousand dollar Harleys were wedding party
gifts from Crowe.
Behind the brigade came the bride by limo.
The 32 year old Spencer stepped out gracefully. It took two
bridesmaids to arrange her Organza veil. Then, Danielle was
escorted down the aisle by her father into the chapel on Crowe's
sprawling Australian ranch. Minutes later, the couple emerged
- officially man and wife.
Next, it was on to the reception, where
80 guests happily greeted the newlyweds. Australian reporter
Kristin Martin says the simple elegant ceremony was the highlight
of a three-day wedding weekend. As she reported, the guests
began arriving in Nana Glen Friday. Saturday, it was the Crowes
vs. the Spencers in a rousing cricket match. Then on Saturday
night Danielle hit the town for her wild bachelorette party
(known down under as a hens night).
As the big day approached, locals began
lining the road to Crowe's ranch holding signs of congratulations,
and hoping for a glimpse of the fairy tale couple. But with
his own helicopter flying above and police patrolling the
roads, Crowe's security was far too tight for fans to get
near the tented estate.
Danielle's dress was one of the weddings
few bargain buys. Reports say Armani donated the floor length
ivory creation reportedly worth a hundred thousand dollars.
Danielle was stunning in her fairy tale gown, in what turned
out to be a fairy tale wedding.
