Nicole Kidman is still giddy about her finest hour. In a revealing cover story with People magazine, Kidman opens up about the big moment, her lust for love, and reports of an affair with her latest co-star.
People's Jess Cagle says Kidman talks about how desperate she was to make her family proud. And after winning, she immediately called her famous ex and her son in New Zealand where they watched on TV. Cagle says, "Tom said congratulations and Connor was not all that interested in the Oscar… She and Tom are actually very friendly now."
Kidman says she's "very single" now, despite stories of an affair with actor Jude Law who is estranged from his wife Sadie Frost. Nicole and Jude spent seven months together shooting the upcoming movie, "Cold Mountain." Cagle says, "She and Jude Law knew that there was going to be a rumor they were having an affair."
Nicole tells People she hasn't asked anyone out since her divorce but does hope to remarry and wants more children. Cagle says, "She tells us she is waiting for someone to come along and rock her world."
