'The Osbournes'
They're the bickering Brits becoming a huge hit on MTV and you won't believe some of the fans rolling onto this rocker's bandwagon.
Barry Manilow may write the songs but he confesses he likes to mellow out to the heavy metal Osbournes. He says, “I saw a little piece of it and I thought it was a riot, if that is what you're supposed to think. I thought it was a riot."
And MTV's getting mobbed with ratings. Tuesday's show was the most-watched episode ever for a series on the cable channel. This gruff but lovable father is getting as famous as another family man from the 70's TV. Norman Lear created Archie Bunker. Now, at 79, this legendary producer is keeping an eye on Ozzy. He says, “What I enjoy about ‘The Osbournes’ is the outrageousness. Give me outrageous."
We’re sure Ozzy won't have any trouble filling that order.
