Self Challenge

On “Boston Public” they play strong women who aren't afraid to tell students to shape up. Now Self magazine has challenged them to shape up. Literally!

Loretta Devine used to dine on greasy foods, Jessalyn Gilsig would skip meals altogether, new mom Sharon Leal wanted to say bye-bye to baby fat, Rashida Jones was jonesing to tame her sweet tooth, and Jeri Ryan needed exercising.

For three grueling months, the ladies stuck to the diet and exercise routines designed specifically for them by the magazine and happily each achieved their personal goals. Was the Self challenge worth it? Rashida says, “I feel stronger and I have more energy. I'd do it again."
