Johnny Knoxville
He's rude, crude, and socially unacceptable. Johnny Knoxville's fans wouldn't have him any other way! You don't think MTV's “Jackass” wants respect as a serious actor, do you? He says, “I don't know what the hell I’m doing."
He’s in the new film "Big Trouble," playing a bonehead bandit opposite funnyman Tim Allen. Knoxville says co-star was a real gas. “That's how he walked on the set, swearing and making flatulent noises."
Knoxville admits he got into plenty of trouble shooting the crazy caper. He says, “Oh my God, my liver is in big trouble. I mean, you're in Miami three months, you go out and have a couple of drinks, next thing you know you're in a sailor outfit. Who knew?"
And who knew Knoxville, a born practical joker out of Knoxville, Tennessee, would break into showbiz by nearly breaking his neck.
The guy famous for crazy stunts actually crashed Hollywood by accident. He was writing a magazine article on self-defense equipment and decided to try it all on himself. After circulating a sample of his stunts around town, MTV offered him his own show. Soon, Hollywood came knocking on his outhouse door. He says, “I'm making movies now. I don't deserve it, but I am, and I’m not going to question it."
Now, after supporting roles in "Coyote Ugly" and "Life Without Dick" with Sarah Jessica Parker, the notorious Knoxville is ready for his close-up, "Jackass" style. He says, “One bad idea just got worse."
