Washington's Burning -- With Admiration For Co-star
Denzel Washington is taking the law into his own hands in his new film "Man on Fire." The Oscar winner plays a bodyguard bent on revenge when the little girl he was protecting gets abducted.
So is Washington really as tough as all of his on-screen characters? "Well, I haven’t cut any fingers off in my whole life," he answered.
When we sat down with Denzel, he told us that this isn’t just another action film, and he really put his heart into his role: "It really was a journey from the darkness to the light, and this girl is like an angel."
The normally intense Mr. Washington actually forged a close bond with his 10-year-old co-star Dakota Fanning both on and off the set. And the two certainly found time for fun while shooting. "I could beat her in ping pong, but that was about it. Forest Gump would have been proud of me."
Denzel and Dakota bring "Man on Fire" to theaters next Friday, but you can catch a sneak peek right now with our
