Rancic Rules Boardroom, But Other Apprentices Also Score
Never mind the Wall Street bulls and bears, it's the Chicago Bulls and Bears for Bill Rancic. The "Apprentice" winner will help oversee the construction of Trump's new 90-story hotel in the Windy City.
Trump offered Rancic two jobs and three minutes to decide. Bill answered, "I'm taking the Chicago Trump job. That's my hometown. To me it's the best city in the world."
Also waiting for Bill back in Chicago is his current girlfriend, TV Bachelorette Jen Schefft. But Bill's not ready to talk about his love life just yet. "Tonight’s about ‘The Apprentice,’ about Mr. Trump and what’s happening," he insisted.
But it was a bittersweet celebration for Bill, who lost his father to kidney cancer four years ago: "It's probably one of the greatest nights of my life to have my mom and my sisters here. My dad is up there looking down on me tonight."
Runner-up Kwame Jackson is already profiting from his "Apprentice" experience, revealing to "Extra" this morning that "Maverick" billionaire Mark Cuban waited around for hours at the after-party Thursday night, and then made him a huge job offer.
"I may have been fired, but I’m already hired," Kwame revealed to us. "You’re the first person to hear about it. I’m deciding, and we’re going to be talking. I mean, I’m just flattered that he waited around for me."
There’s also surprising news about the villainous "Apprentice" Omarosa today. After stirring up so much controversy, could she be back for the next "Apprentice?" "Well, Mark Burnett walked up to me and said, ‘Are you game?’" Omarosa revealed. "So who knows? There's always something interesting. I'd love to come back for ‘Apprentice Two.’"
Fan favorites, Katrina, Amy and Troy, confirmed they might also play a role in the next "Apprentice" series -- as taskmasters. "I’ll be back there if Mr. Trump fires Carolyn and puts me in her spot," Amy told us.
So what about Sam, who stunned Trump during the live finale
by offering him $250,000 in cash just so he could work for The
Donald? "I'm an out-of-the-box guy," Sam insisted.
"It’s 24 hours later. We still don’t have a deal, but Trump
still has my money."
Also at the after-party, NBC titan Jeff Zucker celebrated the success of Trump's surprise hit. "It's the improbable replacement for ‘Friends,’" Zucker told us. "Who knew? But that's the great thing about television and America. You never know where it's going to come from."
And who knew Piano Man Billy Joel was a Trump fan? "I know Donald," said Joel. "We joke around and we mess around, and we’ve had conversations over the years. Now he’s a star, a media star."
As for the man of the hour, Trump told "Extra" he's both exhilarated and exhausted: "It’s great. It’s just been great. Melania and I have had a great evening."
It was one great night for Trump -- and a thrill for Bill.
