Rumor Control: Confirm or Deny
Tom Cruise signed autographs, posed for pictures and charmed the pants off his fans in Berlin. But the question keeps dogging him: is he getting back together with old flame Penélope Cruz?
No -- the former lovers did have dinner together last weekend, but now Cruise reveals that Penélope’s visit was just as a friend. "She went back," Cruise told us. "She’s shooting in Morocco and she came by to say ‘hi’ and hang out a little."
Cruise was amused when one woman asked how Penélope was doing, and he answered laughing, "She’s doing great."
Cruz is back shooting her new movie, "Sahara," in Morocco. Cruise is in Germany scouting locations for "Mission Impossible 3." And Tom is proving to be a gracious guest of Berlin, patiently taking time out from taking his own pictures to hang out with fans. And the fans returned the love -- one man, noticing Cruise was cold, insisted he take his scarf.

Yes, in fact -- according to a published report, Stone is becoming a songwriter. The actress says she has already sold a few songs, one to an A-list pop-star. But Stone is not giving up on her old career -- she will star opposite Halle Berry in the upcoming movie, "Catwoman."

No -- Theron has been seen wearing what appears to be an engagement ring recently. But Tuesday night, "Extra" caught up with Townsend, who set the record straight. "I bought her that ring years ago and it's not an engagement ring."
But Townsend wouldn't rule out an engagement in the future. "If we do, hopefully no one will know," he said.
