Uma and Darryl: Battling Beauties

Uma Thurman and Daryl Hannah reprise their roles as deadly enemies in the gore saturated, kick-ass martial arts fantasy "Kill Bill: Volume 2." "Extra" sat down with the lovely, but lethal ladies for a kickin’ interview.

So just how intense was shooting the fights between the two stars? "It was a scream," Uma told us. "These two skinny blonde chicks beating each other up in a trailer."

"There was really no other way to do it than to throw yourself into it and let the bruises fall where they may," Daryl added.

And talk about bruises, these femme fatales did their own stunts, somehow managing to come away with no major injuries. "We had guardian angels," Thurman told us. "No pain, no gain," Hannah added.

Besides slicing and dicing with a samurai sword, Uma nabbed a Golden Globe nomination for her role in "Kill Bill: Volume 1." "It’s not your traditional leading lady performance, so I was really amazed by that," Thurman admitted.

And Thurman even shares a story credit in the sequel with Tarantino, having conceived her vengeful character while starring in Quentin’s "Pulp Fiction" ten years ago. "It was really sweet of him to make an acknowledgement of that," Thurman told us.

Get ready for action as Thurman and Hannah kick it on the big screen when "Kill Bill: Volume 2" smashes into theaters April 16th.
