Lordy, Lordy Look Who's Thirty
The big anniversary double issue of People magazine
is hot off the press as the magazine celebrates its 30th birthday
this week, and inside the pages you’ll find surprising revelations
about which stars are also hitting the big 3-0 this year.
People's Senior Editor, Jess Cagle, says those on the verge of 30 may surprise you. "Basically we put all this into the magazine to make you feel old," Cagle joked. "We've got Ryan Seacrest, Leonardo DiCaprio, Victoria Beckham, Derek Jeter and Jewel."
And as a birthday gift for fans, People is featuring a gallery
of childhood photos, which Cagle jokes, "Is just hilarious
to look at."
The pictures include little Leo with his stepbrother, Adam DiCaprio,
Jewel fishing in her home state of Alaska, and 3-year-old slugger
Derek Jeter. The pages also include a baby posh Victoria Beckham
showing off future Spice Girl moves and an adorable Ryan Seacrest
in knee socks.
And Cagle insists that Ryan Seacrest is the next Dick Clark
-- before he grew into his famous TV personality. "I bet
he's going to just look the same as he does for the next 40
years," Cagle says. "He's certainly familiar with
skin and hair products."
