Ed Harris

As our countdown to the Oscars continues, Ed Harris took the time to talk with "Extra" about his nominated role in "The Hours."

He's romanced Julia Roberts, terrorized Sean Connery, and sent Tom Hanks to the moon. Now it could be versatile actor Ed Harris's finest hour as he is up for an Oscar for his powerful on-screen duet with Meryl Streep in "The Hours." About his fourth nomination, Harris says, "It gets in your nervous system, whether you want it to or not. It becomes part of your life for a few weeks."

But if Harris, who's married to actress Amy Madigan, is overlooked a fourth time, the Jersey native says he has another dream. He says, "Even if I never get one of these, you know I’ll probably keep working for another 20 years. If I live long enough, maybe they'll give me a lifetime achievement award or something."
