Sheryl Crow

Her catchy, sunny songs have earned her music's highest honors and she absolutely glowed at this year's Grammy’s. But in the latest issue of Ladies Home Journal, on newsstands now, the beautiful and talented singer-song writer Sheryl Crow reveals she's been battling depression.

Entertainment editor Laura Brownstein says, "Sheryl says she's struggled with depression most of her life, but it didn't really rear its head until she was famous."

Brownstein tells "Extra" that Crow, who looks fabulous at 41, spent the last three years debilitated by deep inner-sadness. The severe mood swings that run in her family were compounded by exhaustion from work and the end of her two-year relationship with actor Owen Wilson. Brownstein says, "Sheryl realized she needed to take a break, step back and I think her latest album was quite cathartic for her."

Here's hoping this sad songbird finds lasting happiness.
