'The Bachelor'

It's got romance, a bevy of beauties, and one lucky man. Alex Michel is the star of the new ABC show "The Bachelor." His goal is to charm 25 girls and then narrow down his choices until he pops the question to Miss Right. Alex says, “I feel like I was meant to do it.”

Creator Mike Fleiss says all you have to do is spend a day on the set and you'll see that this is a show that'll spark heated discussions. He says, “I know it’s a good sign even the guys in the crew are debating who he should pick and who's going to say yes.”

Host Chris Harrison will help Alex make the difficult decisions, but he says working on "The Bachelor" has been a breeze. He says, “I’m not the one going through the pain. I've been through it. I'm married. I’ve done that before, I just get to help him out a little bit."

And besides, the show's studio is a gorgeous 10-million dollar mansion in Malibu, California. Chris says, “Those early call times aren’t that big of a deal when you get to show up to a place like this.”

Only “Extra” got a peek inside “The Bachelor,” where this singles showdown will happen. Alex gets to live here for six weeks during the contest. And it looks like this beach house is really about to heat up! Stay tuned.
