Extra! Extra! The Shape of TV to Come

Things are about to get messy for Jennifer Lopez. "Extra" learned the star is set to be slimed at the 2004 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. But Lopez is in good company -- Tom Cruise and Jim Carrey have already survived the slime at past awards. See Lopez turn green April 3rd on Nickelodeon.

"Friends" and "Frasier" might be saying farewell, but don’t worry -- NBC is still dishing out Must-See TV. On Thursday, Peacock executives unveiled their new fall schedule, and Matt LeBlanc’s spin-off, "Joey," will land in his old "Friends" timeslot. The show follows Joey as he moves to Los Angeles for his acting career.

NBC also formally announced their new primetime animated series based on Siegfried and Roy's lions, titled "Father of the Pride." Stars John Goodman, Carl Reiner and John O'Hurley will lend their voices to the series.

Her bold Super Bowl performance caused a ruckus, and this weekend, VH1’s "Driven" follows the road Janet Jackson took to find fame and fortune on her own terms.

Through the tough times, Jackson’s sister, Latoya, claims to have been the voice of reason: "I said, ‘Jan, you’re going to collapse, you can’t do all this,’ and she said, ‘Yes, I can.’"

So where did Janet insist on going? Find out Sunday night on VH1. And for more on the shape of TV to come, don’t miss Friday’s edition of "Extra."
