Back to the Hotel: Star Travel Tips and Aliases

From where to go to where to stay, travel expert Peter Greenberg's got insider tips on the best bargains for your star travel buck.

In his new book, "Hotel Secrets from the Travel Detective," Greenberg even reveals where the stars sleep and under what aliases. "Sharon Stone is Phoebe Turner," Greenberg reveals. "Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are Mr. and Mrs. Ross Vegas, and Ozzy Osborne is Prince Albert."

But there are ups and downs to spring and summer travel: "The bad news is the Euro and British pound are killing the dollar," Greenberg tells us. "The good news is you're going to see some last-minute airfare sales."

Expect cheaper tickets to places like Argentina, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and South Africa, but Greenberg warns to stay away from Europe this spring and summer -- especially London. "Right now London is the single most expensive city in the world, averaging about $450 to $500 a day."

That's more than what you'd pay for some 7-day cruises. "We've seen a cruise ship for seven days to the Caribbean advertised for $299 dollars," Greenberg notes.

And how about hotels that loan you a Labrador, tuck in your kids, or help you get a tan? There are lots of vacation destinations that will save you money while letting you savor the comforts of home.
