Rock and Roll Fantasy

Prince is back and he's taken his place among music's biggest names, leading a parade of rock and roll royalty into the Hall of Fame at a gala ceremony at Manhattan’s Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, Monday night.

"There are many kings, but only one Prince," said Alicia Keys, who wore her "Purple Passion" for Prince on her sleeve, while Lenny Kravitz traded his trademark dreadlocks for a more Princely 'do. Prince kicked off the night with a renditions of his hits "Let’s Go Crazy," "Sign O’ the Times" and "Kiss."

Jackson Browne was inducted by his buddy Bruce Springsteen, and Browne told "Extra" how he celebrated his invitation to the Hall of Fame: "I walked into the next room and told my son about it and had a deep hug with him. It was really nice."

"Extra's" camera caught Michael J. Fox sharing a moment with Dhani Harrison, who was there on behalf of his late father, Beatles legend George Harrison, who was also inducted. And Rolling Stoner Keith Richards, accompanied by his daughter Theodora, showed us how to get the shutterbugs fluttering.

Other inductees included Bob Seger, ZZ Top, Traffic, the Dells and Rolling Stone magazine founder Jann Wenner. Presenters also included Kid Rock, Tom Petty and Outkast.

For the Hall of Fame class of 2004, it was a night to remember that rock n' roll never forgets.

You can see all the inductee -- including the show stopping All-Star jam session -- Sunday night on VH1.
