Rumor Control: Disturbing Behavior
Has Britney Spears' new video been censored?
Fact: According to several reports, Spears planned to show herself in a bathtub with an empty bottle of pills in the video for her song, "Everytime." However, Spears decided to censor herself, removing the bold scene from the video.
Rolling Stone Deputy Managing Editor Joe Levy says he's not sure why people were so up in arms about the idea. "This is just in the grand tradition from the 80's of videos being spooky and strange. Is she ok in the bathtub or isn't she?"
She could be the last person Michael Jackson wants to see giving interviews, but is Lisa Marie now speaking out about her marriage to the King of Pop?
Fact: For the first time since charges were filed against the pop star, the former Mrs. Jackson is opening up. Monday morning's "Today Show" ran clips of Presley’s Australian TV interview where she gave a haunting reason for the couple's break-up: "Seeing things going on that I couldn't do anything about. And don't ask me what sort of things because I'm not going to tell you. Just stuff," Presley said on the show.
Presley also said she felt "helpless" and "powerless" in the marriage.
Are Christian Slater and his wife Ryan Haddon breaking up?
Fiction: Haddon was arrested last year after a fight in a Vegas hotel room, after she allegedly smashed her husband over the head with a glass. We caught up with Slater at the "Karaoke Revolution" event and he said those stories are not true.
"The press loves to dramatize and that's fine, that’s great. I couldn't be happier," Slater told us. But Slater was less than happy over the weekend, when a Beverly Hills cop pulled him over and wrote him a ticket for speeding.
