The Backstage Diary of Alicia Keys
Only "Extra" was on the scene backstage as Alicia Keys got ready to roll out her sexy new show, rehearsing for the launch of her soulful new "Ladies First" tour, alongside superstars Beyoncé Knowles and Missy Elliott. Between them, the trio has won 10 Grammys and the show promises to showcase the distinctive styles of each of the performers.
"It is a big project to put together," Keys revealed. "I feel a lot of anticipation, a lot of excitement, and in my stomach everything is on fire." But when this soulful singer hits the stage, she says the nerves go away.
The tour kicked off in Ft. Lauderdale last Friday and is scheduled
to visit more than 20 cities in the course of a month before
wrapping up in Oakland on April 18th.
With Keys’ second smash album, "The Diary of Alicia Keys," topping the charts, the 24-year-old star is already a seasoned pro at life on the road. And with Beyoncé, Elliott, and Keys on stage, you can bet the concerts will never get boring.
