Bruce Willis Gets into the Spirit
A detective comes back from the dead a changed man in the new USA crime drama, "Touching Evil." And box office star Bruce Willis is the big boss around the set of the new TV series.
With a bushy beard for a new movie role, Willis and producing partner Arnold Rifkin sat down with "Extra" to talk about his role as executive producer. "The best thing I do as a boss on this show is stay out of the way," Willis insisted.
Before pairing up to produce, Rifkin was Willis’ agent for 17 years, always working to find Willis the right script -- even when Bruce wouldn’t listen. "Yeah, like when you showed me ‘Ghost,’" Willis joked to Rifkin. "I passed on ‘Ghost.’ That’s how smart I am. I thought, ‘How are you going to have a romance if the guy's dead?’"
They made up for that mistake with Bruce’s own spook-tacular hit, "The Sixth Sense."
And Willis maintains a sense for the supernatural with "Touching Evil." The new drama is based on the British series about an FBI agent who gets shot, dies for 10 minutes and comes back with a better ability to detect evil.
"It was really emotionally disturbing, and we tweaked it a little bit for an American audience," Willis informed us.
Catch the chills for yourself when the crime-solving kicks off Friday night on USA.
