'Jersey Girl' Premiere
It was Ben Affleck’s first big night out since going solo. No longer with his beauty from the Bronx, Jennifer Lopez, Affleck is loving his new "Jersey Girl."
"I'll actually sit through the movie," Affleck joked to us. "That's how you know if you like the movie; the secret about actors is they go in and out the back door."
At the big New York premier, Affleck just wanted to eat some popcorn and suck up some diet soda, but admitted: "I try to moderate the soda intake so I don't have to run out in the middle."
Affleck’s former real-life love, Jennifer Lopez, who stars with Affleck in "Jersey Girl," was nowhere near the premier -- but was spotted in Miami with new love Marc Anthony. But Lopez wasn’t totally missed from the red carpet. The movie’s littlest star had Lopez in the bag.
Raquel Castro, who plays Lopez’s daughter in the film, glowed while attending her first red carpet premiere. But the starlet was even more excited to see her onscreen dad again and planned to attack Affleck with a big hug. "But I hope he doesn’t ruin my hair," Castro told "Extra."
This is a big week for Affleck. Besides the premiere, he's on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, and he's hosting "Saturday Night Live." Affleck also goes one on one with Katie Couric Friday night, about which he revealed they got a little up close and personal: "Katie Couric was hitting on me. I don't want to say ‘hitting on me,’ but I don't know how else to say it."
And you can learn how Couric really feels about Affleck on Thursday’s edition of "Extra."
