Aaron Buerge
"The Bachelor" started Aaron on a roller coaster ride in his love life and his personal life.
Now, he's revealing his own surprise twist.
It was a love affair witnessed by all of America,
but what started as a fantasy has ended in failure. Aaron says,
"The one thing that brings you together, that being the
show, could also be possibly the one thing that tears you apart."
Five months after committing their lives to each other on national television, Helene Eksterowicz and Aaron Buerge have called it quits and only "Extra" has Aaron's side of love and loss. He says, "I'll take the responsibility. It was my decision."
Aaron says being the Bachelor wasn't all wine and roses. Even though he didn't mind the attention at first, he says eventually tabloid rumors ruined the relationship. He says, "The tabloids have tried to set me up a couple of times. Setting me up in bars, sending attractive women to pick me up."
Aaron says the drama drove a wedge between the long distance lovers. Now, it's back to bachelorhood for the banker from Missouri. He says, "I’m kind of tired of dating. I’m a little worn out so I’m going to take a break for a little while."
Not that the offers aren't still pouring in - even from Hollywood.
It turns out America’s sweetheart Sandra Bullock may be sweet
on Aaron. He says, "Sandra and I have spoken a couple of
times on the phone. She said she had a crush on me. We had a
nice conversation but that's the extent of it."
He didn't make it to the altar, but Aaron says he wouldn't turn
back time. He says, "I'm very glad that I took the leap
of faith and asked her to marry me." |
