Oscar Countdown

Nicole Kidman hit the red carpet for the London premiere of "The Hours." With Oscar nods just one day away, Kidman's crossing her fingers for good news. She says, "My mum and dad said they'd come with me if I got nominated. So that would be nice."

Meanwhile, all across the globe, the stars are casting their Oscar votes. Over in New York, on a press tour for their upcoming film "The Life of David Gale," stars Kevin Spacey, Laura Linney, and Kate Winslet revealed their picks. Spacey says, "Chris Cooper. I think his work in 'Adaptation' was remarkable."

Laura Linney says, "Adrien Brody, without a doubt. ‘The Pianist’ I think is an extraordinary film and I think he is remarkable in it."

Kate Winslet says, "Well, I have to say ‘Road To Perdition,’ don't I, because my boyfriend directed it. There you go."

In Los Angeles, "Catch Me If You Can" star Tom Hanks admits he has high Oscar hopes. He says, "It's the trophy season. It'd be nice to make the playoffs when the time comes."

But with the White House hinting of war just days before the Oscar’s March 23rd ceremony, there has been speculation of re-scheduling. But insiders say the show will go on and any postponement would be no more than two days

But for stars like Nicole, the focus is on the next 24 hours. She says, "I'm nervous, but only to the extent that the film needs it."
