Limp Bizkit rocker Fred Durst likes playing bad boy with Hugh Hefner's ladies and with beautiful actresses like Lauren Holly. But only on "Extra," Fred's former girlfriend reveals this rebel rocker actually has a tender side.
Jennifer Rovero is a Playboy cover girl and playmate. She met Fred when she was competing in Hawaiian Tropic pageants and he was rehearsing in a garage. Fred even gave Jennifer advise about her first offer to pose nude. She says, "When I approached him about the Playboy thing, he told me not to do it. He actually said, ‘I don’t think it's right.’"
Times change. Jennifer became a playmate and Playboy video star in "Wet and Wild" and the 2001 video calendar. And, for Fred, Jennifer discovered, had changed as well. She says, "On the back of his bus there was a bunch of panties. I was hidden, I stayed on the bus and stayed backstage and there was a lot of panties."
And a lot of competition, she found out, from famous sex symbols as well as groupies.
Jennifer discovered Fred was dating Carmen Electra. But her most difficult moment came at a Playboy party.
She explains, "I see him dancing with another girl. I go, ‘What are you doing?’ And he says, ‘Nothing, I’m just dancing.’ And he walks into the bathroom with her. I was horrified."
Jennifer is far from the pain now. She’s home in Florida shaping up for another shot at Hollywood stardom. And even as she sees Durst out with other women, her love somehow limps along. She says, "It's been on and off for five years. But you know how everybody has their one and only? He's my one and I will always love him."
