Susan Lucci

They are the stars of HSN. From Suzanne Somers to Jennifer Flavin-Stallone, Wolfgang Puck and even "Extra’s" Michael Corbett. It's a 24-hour, seven day a week, billion-dollar industry, and one of HSN's shining stars is daytime diva Susan Lucci.

Susan says, "At the time HSN approached me to come here, I had a line of hair care products that was expanding."

It did so well that her Susan Lucci collection exploded to handbags, accessories, and jewelry. But selling products on live TV is just as complicated as Erica Kane’s storylines on "All My Children." Susan says, "It's like the wild west. You know, anything can happen."

"Extra" went behind the scenes with Susan to see how she does it.

9:30 AM - Two and a half hours to air. Susan is in hair and makeup while reviewing today's products.

10:30 - It's off to meetings to develop future products.

11:00 - Susan gives the sales representatives an up close look at her products.

11:30 - Half an hour to go. Susan chats online with customers.

With minutes to spare, as Jennifer Flavin-Stallone wraps up her show, Susan is on set and ready to go. Now it's Showtime.

The phones ring like crazy, sales skyrocket, and in minutes thousands of products fly out of the door. Two hours, and nearly half a million of dollars in sales later, it's another successful HSN appearance for Susan Lucci.

She says, "I just love it. I love flying by the seat of my pants."
