Simon on 'The Simpsons'
"American Idol" mania hits a fever
pitch as the second group of eight steps up to the stage Tuesday
night -- but not before Simon broke his big news to "Extra:"
a guest-shot on "The Simpsons."
"It was the best thing I was ever asked to do," Cowell declared. "They said, ‘Simon, your character is the best looking animation we've ever drawn.’ To be beaten up by Homer Simpson, that is cool."
But who will emerge victorious Tuesday night’s "American Idol?" From squaring off with Cowell to sibling rivalry, "Extra’s" got your glimpse of the next cutthroat crew.
The contestants don't need to look very hard to see what the show can do for their careers. Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken announced the next moves in their careers, Monday during "On Air with Ryan Seacrest:" a tour together.
The duo also revealed to "Extra" what they liked best about being famous. "I got a discount on my diamonds," Clarkson said.
But you don't have to carry a tune to cash in. Today on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," William Hung, a.k.a. the "She Bangs" guy, performs.
Watch the other "Idols" take another step toward fame or infamy Tuesday night on FOX.
