Star Sightings

Grammy weekend kicked off in Los Angeles with the MusiCares 2004 Person of the Year tribute to Sting. "I’m a bit nervous," Sting said. "I seem to be the center of attention tonight."

Mary J. Blige, Rob Thomas, and John Mayer joined Hugh Hefner, the Judd sisters, Antonio Banderas, and Melanie Griffith in singing Sting’s praises.

Across town at the Spider Club, Matthew Perry and Tara Reid joined stars like Snoop Dogg and Rachel Hunter at the Sony PlayStation 2 bash for music maverick Pharrell Williams.

Stevie Wonder hit the stage at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip, for the American Express "Blue Jam Sessions." Ellen DeGeneres, Rachel Griffiths, and Christina Applegate attended the music education fundraiser. Also among the star-studded crowd were Leo DiCaprio and girlfriend Gisele Bundchen, and Kirsten Dunst with her boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal.

Oprah Winfrey said "thank you" to Wonder for singing at her 50th birthday bash by buying him a set of expensive wheels —- a Phantom Rolls Royce.

Winfrey herself was spotted in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where she celebrated John Travolta’s 50th birthday at the Palmilla Hotel.

And a stunning Charlize Theron was in Germany on Sunday. The Oscar nominee brought her movie, "Monster," to the Berlin Film Festival.
