Janet Jackson
Four days after the big rip, the stars are still talking about Janet Jackson’s unforgettable Super Bowl performance.
Jackson's publicist says no decision has been made about Jackson attending the Grammys on Sunday. But we have learned that if she is a no-show, Celine Dion is being considered as her replacement. High-placed sources also tell "Extra" that Jackson and her entire family knew about the stunt beforehand.
We spoke with Jackson’s brother, Jermaine, at the opening of Katherine's Restaurant, named after the Jackson family mom. Jermaine still insists the rip was not preplanned and blames the media for all the fuss.
He says, "Just the fact that my family is in the news all the time doesn't mean they should just keep taking stabs at us."
Jackson’s father, Joe, was there, as was Mike Tyson, who offered some words of encouragement. He said, "We all slip on the banana peel of life."
But Justin Timberlake is not as forgiving. Speaking to a Los Angeles TV station, he said he is shocked and appalled by what happened. Timberlake said, "I was completely embarrassed. I don't feel I need publicity like this and I wouldn't want to be involved with something like this stunt."
