David Gest
For the first time, David Gest talks about how his wife Liza Minnelli allegedly beat him. Friday on "Dateline," Gest says that the abuse was so severe he is still recovering.
He says, "The pain is so enormous I now get 80 shots around the head to deaden the nerves."
Famed divorce attorney Raul Felder is representing Gest, and tells "Extra" that Gest was virtually defenseless when Minnelli flew into a drunken rage. Felder says, "He would put his right hand over his left eye and his left hand over his right eye and just take the beatings on his head until somebody would interfere."
While Gest reveals all on "Dateline," Minnelli will make another guest appearance on "Arrested Development." Recently, Minnelli told us that she only had kind words for her estranged husband.
She said, "We're very friendly, and I just adore him."
