Janet's Grammy Controversy
The rip heard around the world is still generating headlines on both sides of the Atlantic. Even Boston fans celebrating their Super Bowl victory had fun with it. But there are still a lot of questions about the incident and now, we are setting the record straight.
Will Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson be banned from the Grammys? The big show will be held at the Los Angeles Staples Center on Sunday night, and Jackson is supposed to be a presenter. Timberlake is scheduled to perform.
But sources say that the two may be asked to stay home. We contacted Grammy officials who say that for now the two are still on. But CBS announced that the show will run with an audio and visual delay.
In the future, artists may think twice about pulling any sexy stunts. The government is now investigating and could fine CBS, all the local stations that ran the Super Bowl, and even Timberlake and Jackson themselves. The fines could run up into the millions.
Ken Baker, the West Coast Executive Editor of Us Weekly, says that in the upcoming issue, the magazine reveals new details about the story. And according to Baker, Jackson and Timberlake were once more than just friends.
Baker says, "They had a fling a couple of years ago in Miami and they’ve remained close."
