'American Idol'
Get ready for the best of the bad as the final night of open auditions airs Tuesday on "American Idol." Simon says, "It’s the contrast between the very good and the ludicrously awful which I think is compelling."
But this time around, "Extra's" "Idol" insider Simon isn’t the only one causing controversy.
Last week, a musical marine got a salute from Simon and a pass to the next round. Now, reports are surfacing claiming the Marines are letting Joshua Gracin stay in the states to compete instead of shipping out to the Persian Gulf. The Marines admit they "see the recruiting value of Gracin's appearance," but deny his unit has been deployed.
"Extra" caught up with judges Randy and Paula, and special correspondent Kristin Holt, at the taping of "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" with Tom Arnold. Both Randy and Paula agree, this time around, "Idol" is definitely worth watching. Randy says, "We got more freaks this time."
