American Music Awards
"Extra" was with Ja Rule at rehearsals
for Monday night’s American Music Awards. Ja is rocking with
Bobby Brown on the big show. He's also nominated for an award
and Bobby, who's won three AMA’s himself, showed his young
protégé the way a big winner really handles
things.
Adding to the show's wild unpredictability, it's hosted by America’s favorite funky family, The Osbournes. But Kelly told "Extra" the AMA producers have eased their nerves. She says, "It's been amazing. They're really looking after us."
Include a live performance from red-hot Matchbox 20, and this should be one incendiary show. Lead singer Rob Thomas told "Extra" that he is all fired up. He says, "You can't go through this without getting a little excited. Even if you do it low key, you know. Under your breath going, ‘Hey that's P. Diddy, look at that.’"
And Rob said he'll be playing to the celebrity filled front row. He says, "Justin Timberlake is right in front of me. I’m going to be sexing him up the whole show."
Meanwhile, Bobby Brown was back rehearsing with Ja Rule, but his thoughts were with wife Whitney Houston and their child. He says, "My wife is wonderful. Everybody is wonderful."
And while Bobby is rooting for his buddy Ja Rule to win, he promises he will be back for more AMA awards. He says, "Next time, I shall take nine with me. Remember, I said nine. I shall take nine with me when I come out with my new album."
