Janet Jackson
She was crowned an icon on a recent MTV special,
just picked up an American Music Award, three Grammy nominations,
and she's about to close her blockbuster world tour with an
HBO concert special in Hawaii. This year it's all about Janet
Jackson.
Janet says, “A lot has happened in my life and
I guess is still happening. It's been really interesting.”
Now for the first time, Janet breaks news about her future
and talks about life after the break-up of her second marriage,
to René Elizondo Jr. who's now suing her for millions. It’s
a bitter divorce that has Janet singing about the single life.
So does Janet have a desire to be married again? She says,
“ Oh gosh, you’re talking to the wrong person. Um, not really
... I’m not good at it. I haven’t been successful at it and
I’m afraid to try again.”
But she's not afraid to date. However, Janet recently confessed
to a reporter that it's tough at times because guys are too
shy to ask her out. She says, “But it's changed since I’ve
said that.”
But like she sings in her hit song "Someone To Call My Lover,"
at 35 Janet says she's ready to meet Mr. Right. She says,
“My friends said, ‘You know you’re going to do the dating
thing and that’s going to be fun. And then there’s going to
come a point where you say, ok I’m ready to find someone.’”
And when she does, Janet revealed she might put music aside
for motherhood. She says, “Maybe a child or two would be nice,
we'll see.”
The pop princess made another startling revelation. World
tours have taken their toll, and her February HBO concert
special from Hawaii may make pop history. She says, “It may
be my last one … I love to perform so much and I hate saying
that. But I’m trying to figure out how to get it done in a
short amount of time.”
Good news for fans that look forward to the unmistakable moves
of Janet Jackson for years to come.
