Owen's Water Workout
Forget running on a treadmill, climbing the
Stairmaster or lifting heavy weights to get in shape, all
you really need is water.
Owen will show you a pool workout that targets your entire
body including the most important muscle of all, your heart.
Upper Body
Warm up by pushing and pulling your arms through the water
- this targets your chest and back muscles. After two minutes
you're ready to go!
The crawl is the perfect way to pump up your pecks. It also
tones your arms and strengthens your back. The breast stroke
builds strong muscles in your shoulders, chest, and even your
abs. Start with five laps and work up to eight.
Lower Body
Running in place is a good cardio workout and it tones your
legs. To work harder, just kick your heels higher. This works
your backside, the front of your thighs, and lower abs. Running
backwards works your calves, sideways will tighten your inner
and outer thigh. End with about a minute or two of kicking.
As you can see all you need is a little creativity and motivation
for a great pool workout!
