Lisa Rinna

Lisa Rinna is an icon of fashion and beauty, even when she's pregnant. She says, "I felt more beautiful pregnant than I’d ever felt."
So beautiful, Lisa posed nude for Playboy magazine while expecting her first child.
But once Delilah was born, Lisa slipped into a deep postpartum depression.

Lisa says, "I thought I was crazy. I was absolutely losing my mind."
For 15 months she felt like dying, unwilling to admit her feelings of self-loathing even to husband Harry Hamlin. She says, "It was like my own private pain. I didn't ask for help."
"Extra" caught up with Lisa when she was expecting her second child. She said, "I'm terrified of having postpartum after the baby."
This time Lisa has a plan. She teamed with exercise guru Debbie Rocker to develop a pregnancy recovery program. Light exercise, a daily journal, and positive affirmations keep Lisa grounded. Debbie says, "They start their program before they give birth when they're feeling great."
Four weeks after the birth of her second daughter Amelia, Lisa is looking good and feeling even better. She said, "It’s like night and day."
But then, depression set in and for two months Lisa relied on antidepressants. She says, "I was crying and angry and completely stressed. I just powered through."
Lisa hopes coming forward with her private pain will prompt other women to seek help.
She only wishes something could have been done to help Andrea Yates, the Texas woman who allegedly murdered her five children. Lisa says, "If we can bring awareness to it, maybe something like that won't happen again. It's just horrible."
