2004 Golden Globes
It was a night of big movies, great TV, and a golden glow as Hollywood heavyweights packed the Golden Globes' red carpet.
Tom Cruise, who was nominated for his "Last Samurai" performance said, "I'm happy to be here to celebrate the movie and to celebrate the films of the year, so that's fun."
Johnny Depp added, "It's a very exciting event. I'm very excited for all the nominees."
"Lost in Translation" was one of the top winners of the night. Golden Globe newcomer Scarlett Johansson said, "It's really surreal, I always watched this on TV and to be here on this side of the red carpet is bizarre."
Bonnie Hunt, nominated for her TV show "Life with Bonnie," was in high spirits. And "Will & Grace’s" Eric McCormack said he wasn't feeling any pressure. He said the night is all about the party.
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones attended the awards, where Douglas picked up the Cecil B. DeMille award.
Zeta-Jones said, "I'm so proud I can't tell you."
