'The Bachelor'

From Alex to Aaron to Andrew to Bob, ABC’s "Bachelor" never had an easy job choosing between 25 beautiful women. Now "Extra" reveals Bachelor number five—Jesse Palmer.

The 25-year-old Palmer is quite a catch. He lives in Hoboken, N.J., was born in Canada, and plays professional football for the New York Giants.

Palmer is one of the brightest stars in the NFL. He made over $1 million the last three years on the field, and football runs in his family. Palmer’s brother plays for Notre Dame and his dad was a pro in Canada. His mother used to model.

Palmer says his parents’ fairy-tale romance is what convinced him to do the show. He says, "They met and eloped in San Francisco when they were 25 years old. They are now 50 and still married."

It is also clear that Palmer has a sensitive side. He says, "I’m not afraid to tell somebody I love you."

The jock star has partied with Tara Reid and Mark Walberg and is flocked by fans, so is he really ready to settle down? Palmer says, "I meet a lot of girls, it's true. But I haven’t met the one yet that is sincerely interested in Jesse Palmer. This is my shot."

So who is Palmer looking for? He says, "Real, down to earth, really fun. I want someone who wants to get out and travel the world and who wants a big family."

Palmer’s "Bachelor" run begins in April on ABC.
