Sundance Film Festival

When Robert Redford throws a film festival, dozens of stars and thousands of fans flock to it. Redford says, "It became a phenomenon and I did not anticipate that."

Redford launched this year's festival Thursday night, and for the first time in history, one of the Oscar winner's own films, "The Clearing," is in the mix.

Also appearing in the festival is "November," staring Courtney Cox Arquette and Ashton Kutcher’s "Butterfly Effect."

Christina Applegate appears in three films at Sundance. She stars opposite Matt Dillon in "Employee of the Month." She also appears in "Grand Theft Parsons" and stars alongside Hank Azaria in "Nobody's Perfect."

The Sundance showdown continues until January 25th.
