Extra Cool Review - Rio 800

There are two main qualities people look for in an MP3 player: ease of use and available memory. The Rio 800 128 MB Digital Audio Player excels in both areas.

Compatible for the both the Mac and PC, the Rio 800 uses the program Sound Jam to manage its files. In just a few clicks you can either load your existing MP3 files or quickly make your own from your favorite CDs. Loading an MP3 onto the player takes just seconds. You can arrange them in whatever order you want and easily add and remove whenever you need.

The player itself has very simple controls. The buttons are indented so you don't have to worry about accidentally hitting one while keeping the player in your pocket. The buttons are on the small side but once you get used to them, you can easily skip through tracks without looking.

With 128 MB of room, there is plenty of space on the player. How many songs you can fit will vary, but we were able to get 26 tracks loaded up. That's plenty of music to have along for a jog through the park or a trip to the gym.

So while some may find it pricey at $299, you’ll find the extra memory over the smaller players well worth it. If you’re in the market for a 128 MB MP3 player, you can’t go wrong with a this Rio 800 player.
