Psychic Cruises
Monday
May 28, 2001
Some
call it a poltergeist party at sea. Others say
it's the ship of fools. But these paying passengers
call it their lifeboat; a ticket to communicate
with loved ones in the great beyond.

It's
called the psychic and spiritual healing cruise and once
a year it sets sail for "the other side." Ninety-five
percent of everybody on the cruise ends up getting connected
with someone who they came on board to get connected with.
Andrea Martone is the president of the Intuitive Vision
Network which organizes "out-of-this-world"
outings. Gail and Ron Bohm set sail on the telepathic
trip hoping to connect with the son Ron lost in a 1984
car accident.
Mike Michalowsky is something of a skeptic. He and his
wife Sheryl wanted to test the psychic waters and determine
whether mediums really can connect with dead or if they're
just conning desperate people. Mike says that if one of
the mediums can tell him the nickname his mother called
him as a child, he will believe. His wife says, You
can't be afraid to investigate. That's part of the fun
of life.
The weeklong sail, videotaped by one of the passengers,
included several sessions with well known psychics John
Holland and Suzane Northrop, and workshops to help people
deal with their grief. When the ghost ship returned to
port we were there, wondering if our skeptic still was
one and whether a father got to talk to his son.
During a session, one medium says to Ron, There's
a young man coming through with your name... Is that a
son please?
Ron responded, Yes...It was quite amazing. I was
taken aback a little, but then all of a sudden I just
felt so comforted and very happy.
And Mike? Well he got the sign he was looking for! He
says, It did change my mind. I'm leaning more to
be a believer than a non-believer.
